About Me

 Karl Johnson

I live in Fayette County with two dogs (one is deaf), three outdoor cats, three horses (also outdoor), a few chickens and a lot of good friends. I love fishing, baseball and other sports, riding horses, rodeo, projects around my place, good music, dancing... and of course all are better with friends and either iced tea, coffee, lemonade, good beer, or bourbon and coke. I'm a Licensed Paramedic and Certified Flight Paramedic as well as a volunteer fire fighter. It's a good life, and my camera is always close by me.

I grew up in Houston--born in Sharpstown General Hospital and graduated from Sharpstown High School. My parents still live in the house I grew up in. My brother, sister-in-law, three nieces and nephew live in the Houston area, and the extended family is in the Houston area and Washington County.

I have a BA in Psychology from Texas Lutheran University and a Master of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. I moved to Fayette County in 1997, serving as a Lutheran Pastor for twelve years. I also began serving with Fayette County EMS in 1997 where I am still a fulltime paramedic.
